I don't do well with Miss America speeches. I'm easy to get to know, I enjoy good conversation, and I generally have a decent sense of humor. I have very strong views and have always had an interest in politics and social struggle I find revolutionaries fascinating. I love people and I've never met a stranger. I am an excellent cook, which is one of the few things about which I am wholly unashamed to brag. I like people who are kind, thoughtful, articulate, beautiful, creative, smart...just the usual. If you define yourself by the label on your clothing, if you have to research the latest trends to find a personality, if you are ashamed of who you are or that from whence you came, or if you refuse to find joy in life, I doubt we have much to talk about. I love thinkers, even if we don't necessarily agree. I can't abide homophobia, sexism, ageism, racism, speciesism, and basically any other "ism" that involves isolating and belittling someone else because of some group to which they happen to belong. Unfortunately, I'm also a bit of a hypocrite,so I do admit to a slight case of intellectual elitism and occasional misanthropy. My favorite color is brown.
