Hello to me!

I am a 56 year old gay man who is very caring, tries hard to be "laid back" most of the time. I live alone, which I don't really mind, because past relationships have always let me down. Have spent 30 years working as a trained nurse caring for people with severe learning disabilities, but am now no longer working due to ill health. I love meeting and socialising with people when I choose to, but also love my own space to "chill out" by myself at home...I frequently prefer peace and quiet. Society in Britain today worries me because of the violence and disrespect amongst people...I believe life is too short to ruin it for yourself and/or others. I now try to just take life one day at a time and sincerely try to avoid hurting or upsetting other people. I believe that if you give love out you will get it back.
