Grand in '08
|
I'm Daniel, 20, and my life consists of going to
classes early in the morning at USC (go Cocks!)
and working 24/7 at a marketing and promotions
company, Post No Bills, and then living life at
night whether playing Wii, watching my Netflix, or
dancing the night away. For classes, I'm majoring
in Advertising, and I love Gamecock football. 07
sucked though. For work, I come up with promotions
for major entertainment clients. Current ones
include Paramount Pictures, the US Olympics
Committee, WE tv, AMC tv, Current tv, Bad Robot,
Majesco Entertainment video games, Disney, Cartoon
Network, Gametap, and I'm pretty sure I just
forgot one or two...oops, sorry clients! I do
different things for each one, mainly being a
product whore, meaning I come up with ideas for
items to use in one way or another to promote
something. For Paramount, add-on items to DVD's to
get you to buy them is an example. For the
Olympics, various gifts. For the TV networks and
Disney, mainly press gifts or mailers to promote
certain movies or shows. Then there's some other
stuff like webstores and viral marketing, can't
talk too much about that at the moment. For life,
I love just hanging out, but even moreso, going
out and dancing the night away, but lately
Columbia sucks at that. Oh well. I can't complain
though, I get to travel all the time. In the first
quarter of 2008 I'll be going to NYC, ATL, Vegas,
LA, San Fran, and possibly more. In Columbia
though, I can't complain either, I live in a 19
story building seconds from school, 2 minutes from
work, and my apartment is decked out slammin' with
cool stuff, from fun design to a robotic vacuum
cleaner, giant round bed, iPod touch with surround
sound and more. So yeah, good school, fam, job, ok
car, fun life. :)
Some of that crazier stuff I've done
includes:
- I was asked to sing solo in front of 10,000
people, and I can't sing, but I did it (Sir I
wanna buy these shoes...for my mama please... it's
Christmas eve and these shoes are just her
size...)
- I've flown an airplane
- I've lived on an air force base and it was
completely unrelated to me having flown an
airplane
- I moved out at 17
- I've been to "a gay turnaround and make him
straight" camp
- I've got a giant round bed
- I've won a prize valued over $500
- I went to HHS, the school on MTV's
"Two-A-Days"
- I've read big movie scripts before their
release and even gotten to watch them early
- I've driven around the entire 8 hour island of
Puerto Rico in one day
- I've met the official travelocity traveling
gnome
- I sat on stage during Ryan Cabrera's concert
- I've been made into a human packing tape
sculpture
- I've created a website with over 4 million
hits at the age of 15
- I've danced in the showers as an official NYC
Splash gogo boi dancer and loved it
- I've been ticketed for failing to use my turn
signal
- I was an assistant manager of American
Greetings at 17
- I painted my car bright green
